WHAT: As a green certified, regenerative family farm & ranch with 2 locations in CA, we are committed to sustainable plants, flowers, food and events.

• We specialize in sustainable, zero waste, end-to-end plant & floral design for events, wineries, private residences & businesses.

• We host private events, workshops, mobile “Sip & Succ” succulent planting classes, and farm-to-fork gatherings to promote local, sustainable produce & meats.

• We offer farm products for sale; floral arrangements, succulents, houseplants, honey, handmade sheep milk soap, seasonal produce, greens & herbs.

OUR FARM: Our boutique market farm & floral studio is located in the seaside town of Aptos, CA, which is the perfect climate for growing the succulents, flowers, and houseplants we use in our sustainable designs, as well as our year round greens & herbs. We also offer classes & workshops and our sell-out “Sipp & Succ” mobile succulent workshops throughout the Bay Area.

OUR RANCH: Our pristine 160 acre ranch is located in the rolling hills & grassy pastures of the gorgeous Shasta Valley at the base of Mt. Shasta in Northern California where we promote conservation, regenerative farming & sustainable plants, flowers, food & events. We offer events, weddings, farm stays, farm-to-fork gatherings and offer as many “hayrides & hikes” as we can to allow people to fall in love with the land.

OUR MISSION: Our mission is to connect people to the land, plants & animals that sustain us by offering ethical, sustainable and truly beautiful choices in food, floral & events.

WHO: We are a woman-owned business, founded by Angela Rivas Rugel. She is one of the only green certified, zero waste, carbon neutral, woman-owned floral design businesses in CA to focus on end-to-end sustainability in floral & event design, from growing to installation. All plant material is replanted, propagated, or composed. All supplies are recycled, reused or meet zero-waste standards. Furthermore, we partner with Carbon Fund to offset our carbon footprint and reach carbon neutral status. Our commitment to regenerative practices & sustainability can be seen in every step and every decision we make to manage our farm, our family, and our business.

WHY: Plants are our food, our medicine and our greatest source of sustainability. We simply cannot survive without them. Every step we take to regenerate our planet is a step toward ensuring the future of human health. By choosing local produce, flowers, food and meats, we are stopping the destructive, carbon-heavy global commute of cut flowers, corporate farms and imported meat. An “organic” label is not enough. We need to know how and where our consumables are grown so we can make the best choice for our health and future.

HOW WE DO BETTER: It is estimated that a single Valentine’s Day supply of cut flowers imported from Columbia alone generates 360,000 metric tons of CO2 - the equivalent of 78,000 cars driven for one year, according to the International Council on Green Transportation. Add to that the unregulated conditions for workers, many of whom are impoverished & pregnant women, cutting flowers in hot green houses full of pesticides, for low pay and no health insurance- all for a product that is packaged, refrigerated, transported thousands of miles - only to be dead & thrown out after a week. We can do better. By buying from local, regenerative farms like ours, you are doing better. You are supporting real families who live & breathe on the same land with the plants and animals you will consume.
